Water infrastructure development
CONTINENTAL is widely recognized for its water infrastructure development program, which has made a significant contribution to rural, industrial, energy, mining and urban sectors. We have designed and managed the construction of prominent and landmark water infrastructures in some countries of Southern Africa.
It works in partnership for possible Build, Own & Operate (BOO), and Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) schemes that improve management of water infrastructures. Integrated water supply schemes for multiple demand sites and few or several sources as well as Institutional setup, training and strengthening are our core services.
Bulk water supply and distribution
At CONTINENTAL, we have a strong knowledge base and wide experience in water distribution for public water supply, and irrigation systems. It is gained over several years of providing water to customers via our 12 major pump stations and 3000+ kilometers of pipelines and open channels.
Operations for water supply, hydropower and irrigation systems
We have the expertise to provide solutions for operation of water supply systems especially in bulk water supply systems through SCADA systems as well as for pump stations, booster reservoir and service reservoirs balancing. We have also solutions for real-time forecasting and scheduling of dams operations.
In irrigation systems, we have cost-effective solutions to monitor soil moisture, actual water consumption of crops from both fully irrigated or rainfed-irrigated mixed systems and we provide operational solutions and tools for operation of irrigated and rainfed systems at plot and commercial farm level. Training of field personnel on the same is also our service line.
Environmental monitoring and assessment
At CONTINENTAL, we are committed to the environment. Our aim is to achieve a high standard of care for the natural environment in all our activities. That's why we are proud to offer our clients our extensive expertise in managing and carrying out environmental studies. We can even produce environmental management plans that can be integrated into an environmental management system in compliance with national environment guidelines as well as the more general ISO 9001:2000.
Water infrastructure refurbishment and upgrades
Our staffs have undertaken major infrastructure refurbishment projects and upgrades for clients. We have planned projects to improve and upgrade water supply systems by improving transmission and distribution networks for several rural and peri/urban water supply infrastructures. Our primary aim is to develop cost-effective solutions that achieve the best outcome for our clients.

Apart from commercially available technical hardware and software that we employ in our projects, we have a number of inhouse developed software, monograms, etc that are used to solve several related problems to effectively render our services.
